I went with Knights of the Dawn for my first ICC raid run. They have done the bosses before Rotface so today we focused on killing him. It was not a difficult fight, but we failed several times and wiped. They will be trying tomorrow again. I think if I have time I will go again, but I am not sure whether I will have time or not.
The boss spray slimes around the room, so standing underneath him is a good idea, you can also run pretty fast behind him if he turns and spew on you. If you get a mutated disease you need to run toward the off-tank and be healed by your healer. That's where everybody gets tripped up because it's difficult to get heals and run at the same time. Then people are standing in the green flood and that means death, too.
It's not a hard raid, and we have more than enough DPS to down the boss, it's a burning/survival race with the boss. We need more practice, and I am sure that we can do it soon.
I've changed my gear to the Hit chest, got fish feasts from the AH (by buying the fish, no time to fish today). I have also bought battle Elixir for the occasion, just to give myself that much more spell power. We did pretty well in the last run, but still wiped.
I've started Redcurry and Bubbleleia. Redcurry is a dwarf hunter, she's around level 10 to level 20 at the moment. Bubbleleia is just starting out around Ironforge, she is about level 3. I plan to fill up my slots slowly so I can enjoy leveling a bit. It will be interesting to see how I go in cataclysm.
I have been ganked a few times around the grounds below Dalaran. I need to investigate how hunters pull people off their flying mount, it's very annoying.
Everything is going well, I have made a new friend on Bonechewer. It's frustrating that we can't do VoA very much since we've been losing WG for a long time.

Hello, my name is Againstworld and I am a warrior...
I am a Taurean warrior on the Bonechewer server in World of Warcraft. I've been leveling this character for a while now, it is progressing rather well, thanks to the heirlooms that I got from my Alliance fire mage. I've come to the stage when there's not much to do on my fire mage as I have got the Tier 9 dps set, Merlin's Robe, and most of the other gears pre-raiding, and I don't plan to raid anyway. It's too hard to raid if you are not in an active guild, and after joining two guilds, I am disappointed by the guild politics and the general inability of guilds putting on good raids. The only reason why I joined guilds is to raid with the people, and if I can't raid with them, there's no point in joining a guild and waste time.
Againstworld has two Venerable McGowan maces at around level 45, and I can keep using them until level 60. I've been using the resilience sword before I got to level 40 and it worked fine. It wasn't a big deal before then, and I don't think it is a big deal if you don't get heirlooms anyway. I remember leveling my first character without looms, only getting the hat from Scarlet Monastery with my friend. It seemed to be easy enough as a mage. I've heard that it's very hard to level warrior because you die very easily, to avoid dying too much, you should level up your FirstAid, and I also recommend getting mining as profession since it gives you Toughness. Buying food is important, too. It's an easy way of replenishing life if you don't have a healer friend around. I heard from the grapevine that it's also nice to have alchemy as your profession as this will give you elixirs and potions, but it is not from my first-hand experience. You can buy them from the Auction House if you have disposable income.
I am leveling in Duskwallow Marsh at the moment. The place looks pretty miserable, but there are a lot of quests there. There are also some level 45 to level 50 quests close to Tanaris, they can be obtained from the coastline town. It is a bit out of the way so I guess not so many people know about this.
I am thinking about leveling my draenai paladin as well, it will become my primary healer. There's also a rogue that I haven't leveled up as well. It will be fun to go back to melee DPS and it is easier to get good gear as a rogue.
I am looking forward to Cataclysm coming out. Is there a set date yet? I am not sure, but it will give my Main something to do. The race is on to get to level 85 and better gear will certainly pop up. There's no real need for me to do ICC or even TOC now. It is just too difficult to get into a nice group that won't ask your gearscore and what does gearscore mean anyway? You can have a fantastic gearscore and still sucks at raiding. You need people who can commit to the fight, bring the dps, won't ninja your loot and will be there to heal you when you are almost dead. It's hard to find these people with all the good traits especially you aren't in a nice competitive guild.
I am hoping the Againstworld will get to 80 just when Cataclysm comes out. Will it take that long to level him? Hopefully not.
